Interview with Dr Taro Takahashi, the International Program in Agricultural Development Studies (IPADS) at the University of Tokyo

IPADS is an English-language postgraduate program at the University of Tokyo, one of the most widely recognized universities in the Asia Pacific region. Issue-oriented rather than methodology-oriented, IPADS offers its students the opportunity to develop expertise across discipline and country boundaries to tackle agricultural and environmental problems in developing countries around the world.

This autumn, ZEF and IPADS are launching a research and education partnership, with a vision to set up joint degree progams in the near future. We talked with IPADS’s Assistant Program Coordinator, who was recently in Bonn to prepare for this year’s joint lecture series.
